My First Post involving Lifestyle stuffs!

I have been debating on whether or not to add a lifestyle selection to my blog for at least a year. I think it would be beneficial, even if nobody actually reads or follows it. It would be a diary of sorts and I really hope that any of the information that I post would be helpful to at least someone in the world!

Today I started working out! It sounds silly, but I downloaded a few 30 Day Challenge Apps from the Google Play Store, and I found a Youtube Channel for Pilates...and this girl is amazing! You can view her channel here! She has uploaded so many short videos to fit my busy schedule, and she is actually fun and full of character! I have a few DVDs that I just COULD NOT watch because the instructors were horribly boring, and I didn't really feel compelled to continue watching them, lol. I have the attention span of a gnat, so the more fun and peppy someone is, the better chance they will catch and keep my attention!

So here's some real talk: I am 5'2 and I weigh 161 lbs. The heaviest I have been was 189 lbs. My goal weight is 135 lbs. I have RA, and my heart pumps twice as much blood in as it does out, so I do have to be careful with myself. In clothing I wear size 17 pants, and size XL and XXL in tops/skirts, etc. I would love to lose weight, but my main focus is to feel better. If I only lose 10 pounds and I feel better overall, that's cool with me. I'm not expecting to lose a ton of weight, but eating healthy and working out will be amazing for my heart and will slow down the progression of my arthritis, which would be super great!

This weekend I will be going grocery shopping for salad items (Salad is my fave food of ALL time!) and smoothies. I will try to omit most meat from my diet (except Chicken and turkey...that stuff is lean and delicious!) for a while, and I'm completely fine with this. When I lost a ton of weight...I was a vegetarian! As soon as I started eating meat, I noticed that I was bloated, and I just FELT heavy--it's so weird and hard to explain! I had more energy when I stopped eating meat, and I went from 189 lbs to 145 lbs in 7 months (with exercise as well!) and after so many years of trying many different things, falling into fad traps...I'm going to stick with what I know will work. After I gain my goal weight, I may bring some meats like chicken and turkey back into my meals once or twice a week, but honestly my body has such a hard time digesting meat!
